Applicant questions

Does applying mean I'm a contestant?

Not yet. Your application is a request to audition. The panel reviews every application, invites a shortlist to live auditions in Johannesburg, and then selects the official finalists for each title.

I've never done a pageant. Should I still apply?

Yes. Most of the women we hope to meet have never walked a stage. Finalists receive coaching and mentorship before coronation night.

Can I enter if I have a child?

Yes. Both titles welcome mothers. For the Miss Cameroon South Africa winner to progress nationally, the current published national policy requires the contestant's child to be older than two. We confirm each finalist's position with COMICA during selection.

Do I need to speak both English and French?

No. You can enter in English or French. The programme itself is a chance to build confidence in both languages, which is part of what this competition stands for.

Is there a height requirement?

There is no height requirement for the Miss South Africa Cameroon Cultural Ambassador title. The national Miss Cameroon competition has published a minimum height in the past; we will confirm whether it applies in 2027.

What does the journey to Cameroon include?

Both winners travel to Cameroon on a fully paid trip, where Miss Cameroon South Africa competes for the national Miss Cameroon crown. Further prizes will be announced, together with full details of the programme in Cameroon.
